Just note that as you increase front tyre pressure, you increase oversteer. As you increase rear tire pressure, you increase understeer.
Neither is bad, just be aware.

Was that before the "comfort kit" steering modification? The tread wear rate was high before that but not that high, you must have been driving 100% on the edge for the 1500 miles! The later steering geometry improves the wear rate dramatically in my experience.
This was after the Comfort Kit.

I am on my fifth set of fronts. Two Avons due to low pressure, toe in and lack of comfort kit. Two Blockleys. First set checked wicked bad. Replaced by dealer gratis as they were dated 2006. Second set also dated 2006 but held up far better and I only replaced them when they hit the illegal line and I could not pass inspection.
Waiting to see what the Excelsiors do.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

My first set of Avons lasted 1,400 miles! I do not think bump steer was that big a factor but the 10 or so degrees of toe in certainly contributed to the rapid wear.... Avons should only be used on static display museum pieces.

Hmmmmm...my Avons perform well ( I regularly thrash Mo), with 3,600 miles. Not much noticeable wear yet either.
