Just got to remember though that the two tablets will probably still be working by the time you get to share bedrooms later that day... grin2

My last sea voyage was on the Tenacious http://jst.org.uk/our-tall-ships/tenacious/

Highly recommended!!!!!

The view from up the mast

This was the view from the bowsprit (in calm weather)

This was not so calm

The view of the corridor inside (when it was not so calm.

Captains log, Tuesday morning arrival in Bilbao. I think we are all glad to be getting back in to our cars today. Not that we didn't enjoy the sea voyage and have now become all quite nautical. Terms like "let's go to the pointy end" and " what floor are we on" as if we were getting out of the lift in Debenhams have stopped, even though I still struggle to find the way to my cabin.

We had dinner last night up near the kennels and had the opportunity to watch various mutts being walked and coached into doing their business as we munched our way through beef stews, pizza and chips. One poor chap seemed to have been endowed with a rather large pair of gonads (the dog not the owner! ) and after Jays conversation about eating Bulls testicles we wondered if such things were likely to be a delicacy in Spain. If so this chap would have fed a small family.

Much talent was observed during the trip and we found it necessary to avoid saying things like 'Tit Alert' and so I came up with some code words and "the geese are flying low" as a suitable alternative and it meant , ' Cor chaps, get a look at that' . We didn't use it much as most of the passengers were truck drivers.

Jays was quite disappointed that the small salon on the boat didn't appear to cater for the male population as he quite fancied a facial or even a massage, gladly it was closed and so we avoided what could have become an embarrassing situation.

We also spent quite some time getting very confused as to whether we set our alarms to get up today on English 'watch time' or local'phone time' as these had automatically adjusted themselves, it must have taken at the least the hours time difference for us to agree and half of us were still unsure if we were going to be up half the night in an effort to avoid 'missing the boat'.

I'm thinking about whether my +4 will make it up the ramp on the way out as the ground clearance is pathetic, we shall see!
More to come once we are on the road!
