Do I sense that "Yexit" is going to be the next item on the agenda - independence for the people's republic of Yorkshire ?

The green dragon, Bradshaw. Westfield club used to meat there once auon a time.
The oak inn, Bank....not bad but years since I got thrown out of this one.

+1 for those & for Peter's recommendations.

The food at the Royal Oak, Fritham is good - a short but fresh menu
& a beautiful setting.

You'd probably need to book The Pig at Brockenhurst

& if you're on the west side of the Forest, The George at Fordingbridge is good - and you can sit by the river.

The Cuckoo has very limited food, last time we went in it had none.

The Royal Oak is sublime on a sunny week day for lunch, but the menu is very small and not really a place for an evening meal.

I love the Pig, but it isn't really a pub, it is a restaurant and it is easy to spend £80.00 for 2.
