Another 72 hours on and the level is holding. There is a tiny damp patch on the newspaper underneath but no discernable drop in the level. The temperature in the garage tonight was -1.9degC. After an hour with the fan heater on full, the best I could get was 2.0degC, although the pit is a balmy 5.0degC.
It doesn't look like I'll be doing much in there this weekend...........

Garage temp at 02100hrs ( despite Salamander) -7. Carcoon is, I hope, gonna prove its worth but I tried to do some work there this evening and am now looking for a guy who can braze Monkeys!

There is no fun in the garage at the moment. I had great plans to put posters up on the walls. These enlarged from favourite pics in the Morgan 100 book but I fear they will suffer in these conditions. Further I have never failed to get out in "old girl" at least every 2 or 3 days, but no joy lately, last time out New Years eve.
My leak has gone completely, hopefully this is not because the water system has frozen.
Until I get out on the road again I can't be certain all is well.

I've got the same kinds of 'bits and pieces' on my garage walls.
This may be a bit grannies, eggs and inhaling but( subject to size of course) what about laminating the paper copies prior to display?

You are absolutely right about the lamination, they are a bit on the big size but will soon get damaged if I don't have some protection.

Leaks seem to be sorted, took the car out on a run yesterday, 20 miles or so and no coolant observed on paper today. Still getting a bit of sweet smell around the kerbside cat. Perhaps cow dermot from these rural roads. Who knows but will keep sniffing.

The way I approached it with a couple of 'blow-ups which were too big to laminate was to get a roll of some of that self -adhesive transparent covering, cut a piece of hardboard ( which I then varnished to seal it) leaving a 'border" of about 2" using the hardboard as a backing plate mounted the pic and covered with the sticky plastic.

I made sure I left enough to wrap over the edge and it seems to be working OK so far.

I did also try map varnish but it discolours

As soon as I read hardboard backing I liked it. I have some laminate on a roll but just dismissed it because of the challenge of putting it onto my limp posters. I would have been like a big fly on sticky paper. Thanks for that. I will post my pictures when ready

When I was concoursing, the best cowpat remover (from my immaculately painted wheelarches) were my fingernails.........
