I've left a patch of rubber in my garage. Totally accidental. It's really easy to do [/quote]

I consider that marking one's territory...

Frightening thing is that the patch of rubber is from backing in, not exiting the garage!

The kids love it. My daughter cried when she found out we weren't taking the M3W to school this morning.

Hahaha. With all of the registration and insurance problems I've had I didn't think it would ever work out. I've managed to register it in the most complicated way I could.

Still not done yet. Has to be inspected by someone in the Army or my wife can't ride in it(she's active duty). She's also unhappy that she has to wear motorcycle gear or her life insurance doesn't pay out. Hoping that goes smoothly

Still...WORTH IT! Smiled all night and woke up smiling.

Any tips on getting those safety stickers off? I was thinking heating them with a hair blow drier. Didn't know if there was an anti-goo product I should use. The ones on the dash.

If the car is newish and hasn't cooked in the sun much then it should peel right off. I removed the dash sticker as well as the warning Hot sticker on the top of the motor with no problems. One good fingernail to lift a corner then thar she goes!

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

I'll give that a try when I get home. I didn't want the torn paper stuck to the dash until I did it right so I didn't even try.

Try the Hairdryer - get the stickers nice and warm - then try.

If there is any residue try a tad of White spirit or nail varnish remover - but gently!

I would doubt very much if you are burning your clutch.

The Mazda clutch is very robust and in my experience more than up to the job for the M3W.

Most likely simply assembly material or the exhaust curing etc.

Do not worry - unless it persists.

BTW my garage still has tyre marks on it from my rear wheel - four years on!

I've seen a few standard and light weight Miata clutch assemblies and what JV installed in his with his new Centa comp did not look like any Miata that I had seen.

I think JV said something about a Volvo unit, not Mazda.

Either way, I think there's only been a couple guys that have actually "had" to have their clutch replaced. I think JV did it because he had everything down already.

A I bet JV had USED the clutch quite well before the tear down. smile smile smile
