Better that than a tin of paint falling on the car...

How true. I once caught a plastic can of stone paint under a mog . Drove it down the drive onto the road. Whitewashing everything.
Happy days. At least no one was hurt.

I once had a 5 litre tin of bright cyan emulsion tip over in the boot of a BMW 3 series estate with the seats folded down - the upholstery was a light cream leather
It took me about two weeks of sponging out with me spending about an hour a day

Bad luck, but thankfully minor damage in the scheme of things and a fairly cheap fix.

In 1989 I bought my first brand new car, VW Golf II 16v. About a year into ownership I was driving home with four large tins of paint in the passengers footwell, surrounded by other things to keep them steady.
Some ar@e pulled out in front of me. The front tin tipped and the back tin smacked it. The lid went pop and I redecorated. It all happened in one of those TV like slow motion moments as I heard the noises and felt it happening even without my eyes being off the road. The glug noise as it came out was horrible. I got the other party and it cost them a lot to put right after a small claims court moment. Replacement of the carpet and other bits (seat covers etc) cost about £2500 at that time.
I will never forget the noise and sinking feeling as it happened. Now all paint in the car goes in a sealed plastic tub in the boot, strapped into the cargo net and I drive like a lorry driver reading the road ahead !
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
