I then countersunk four brass wood screws into the ash. I've already had one experience with the skid plate and when the car went over the edge it made quite a "bang". I checked later and all was still intact not loosened and no damage to the body. I was a bit nervous about making four holes into the ash, but everything seems OK. It was a fairly simple project--on a 1-5 level I'd give it a 2

So, now you have even less clearance?😜

I will just avoid any ramps or speed jumps, as I've been doing for years with other toys 😉 There is only one route to my house that is hump free. Annoying yes. Restrictive definitely.

On the subject of rears, I've noticed a few M3Ws with stone chips at the lowest point of the bodywork below the number plate frame. In other words, where the back tyre kicks up stones. Has anyone tried to fit a rubber motorcycle 'mudflap' to avoid stones flicking up? It's something easily obtained as a Hog aftermarket part.

That'll do the job, a few screws into the ash frame, job done. It wouldn't be that obvious to see (maybe would need to be cut down a little) and could save a lot of damaged paintwork tears. It's just an idea, need to see how to apply it when mine arrives.

Having owned a number of Caterhams and Lotus, I'm used to having to finish and fettle cars myself. Part of the fun of the ownership. Or so I was told by the dealers.

Is there really such a thing as a "John A. Prestwich Special"?

Morgan's have been littered with Specials almost from 1909 ...so if Kirk wants his to be Special then a Special it is!

For my five penny worth it is every inch a Special!
