Lovely watch Stewart. But a Submariner when your pastime is canoeing!!

Sounds a bit fishy to me.

Stewart,

Six months on from this Watch-Fest thread, I wondered if you had any feedback comments on your watch? We had a watch chat earlier this week when we had a Wild Mogs reunion and Healey adoration evening, and the subject of period wrist wear came up..

Really pleased with the no date Sub

It's simple and the Chromalight (don't know that's the correct spelling) is perfect for reading the time anytime of the night

I stayed over in a Hotel in Llamberis last night with FellMog and woke up in the pitch black to look at my watch and it clearly read the time with a bright lume even though it 7:30 am

The ceramic bezel is supposed to more scratch resistant than stainless steel and so far even though I've bashed it a few times the main watch is scratch free

Just a few light scratches on the clasp

It's running about 5 seconds fast in 24 hours, which for an auto is pretty good

I've only been adjusting it back every few weeks or so when it seems to have gained a good couple of minutes

At least it's not slow

I use the bezel for timing things regularly - usually my boiled eggs in a morning but the precision of the click every 30 seconds is superb - it's so precise

The only downside is that it's a bit dull in terms of style but then the overall design has hardly changed in 50 years or so.

Enough of this fancy stuff. How about something made from a tree? Get a Niko Wood watch to match your dash smile

It's the perfect watch.

Got my dads oyster he bought in the early 70's
It's been through the wars a bit but I wouldn't sell it for any money 'cos it was my dads. Would feel the same way if it was a timex. it's a link back to him.

MMC are bringing out a range of watches soon I believe, by a well known maker and will cost hundred rather than thousands unlike previous watches like the Struthers and Hublot.
I don't think they will be made of wood though.......

Quite seriously the Niko Wood cost so little that I think I will get one to match my new dash.
