Looks as though it is an odd, but benign characteristic!
And as to looking at gauges, I wait till the car is properly warm before putting the box into sport mode, so do pay attention. Also, on the +8 the fuel and temperature gauges are straight in front of the driver, the Speedometer and Rev Counter in the usual Morgan place!
