Quite 30 years ago I used Rain X. It works well with rain, but I remenber that there is a problem with fog: gray screen and low visibility.

I never got on with rained on the screen too smeary when you do have to use the wipers. However, I love it on the side and rear windows of tinfoil. And frost etc. Just brushes off it. Nick

I find any bodywork polish (or even better quick detailer) applied to the windows does pretty much the same job, but with no smear/judder caused by the Rain X. Doesn't last as long mind..
