The Ozzie capital is taking to the air??? Hehe, actually with the amount of hot air expended, I'm surprised it hasn't floated away already!  Too much argument about who will be in the pilots seat Graham!

Too much argument about who will be in the pilots seat Graham!  I used to enjoy listening to some of the arguments going on across the house, made some of the comedy radio shows seem very tame!

Six of us visited the BBMF museum at RAF coningsby in August to see the city of Lincoln lanc and the spits and hurricanes that they operate, not forgetting the c47, an amazing day and such enthusiastic volunteers doing the tours.
As there were six of us the lady on the desk put us through as a family ticket, which worked out at about £4 each. Absolutely fantastic day out, I can highly recommend.

Delighted to hear about Just Jane.
I had a taxy run in her a few years ago - a very memorable experience.
The roar of the engines ( only two fired up tho) was something else.
I sat in wireless ops/mid gunner seat - where my Dad sat during WW2 ( but not in JJ)so quite an emotional experience for me.
I have a great pic of me leaning out of the pilots seat /window on my office wall taken on that day.
Will watch her progress with renewed interest.

What a great experience although emotional, fantastic.
The BBMF and Jane would make a great combined visit I shall have to think about doing.
My late father was a Spitfire pilot and I only have to hear a Merlin and it sends shivers down your spine.
At Goodwood Revival a couple of years ago they put 11 Spits and a Hurricane up a fantastic sight and sound.
All day long the dual Spits are doing passenger flights but they are more money than I want to pay for one.

Unfortunately, I missed out on that group tour with Rob... So, if there is another one coming up (and it doesn't clash) I'd be on for a trip Richard...

Chose a time that's best for you as I can fit in around it nowadays. I'll carry out a bit of investigation into openings etc .

Wouldn't be this year Richard. At present still can't make firm forward plans until  is sorted... Have been lucky with the Bovington visit in timings. BBMF and JJ would make for a night out at a PI or similar...
