That's fine Graham I'll get a bit more information first then. A night out in a PI catch up and a jug or two sounds good, think I'll travel up the day before it's about 300 miles  . All the best to your good lady. p.s. The BBFM Lancaster is at Duxford for major overhaul but I guess as we are doing JJ as well that's not too critical - thoughts... Date/time wise anytime and booking not necessary so that is the best news for us.

A couple of years ago I was involved in the friends and family day at RAF Marham - We got a request could a guys grandad come along and sit in a Morgan - The we heard he was a rear gunner in a lanc - The re carpet was duly rolled out by all inc the RAF
Cant imagine what that was like - Although I did think maybe Dave Welings could helped with those draughts with some neoprene

That would have been a privilege to give him a ride - nice work.
When you consider they didn't have enough room to put a parachute on it's no wonder so many were lost.

Yes indeed, catch up would be good in suitable surroundings    I look forward to BBMF in particular - I want a really good look around either of the C47s  I'm sure one or two others would be interested.

That would be good if a few others fancied a couple of days out or even opted for either of the visits.
I guess it's best to wait until we can firm up a date first before we start another thread.. thoughts.

Hi Graham Harry and I are probably going to Prescott on Saturday for the Cotswold VSCC trial. Is it a mud plugger or do they use the hill ? We have not been before.
Re lancs
l have watched the cost of a taxi run at East Kirkby increase every year and winced . However it is now or never and never is not the option. I have booked for a run ,in Sept 2017 unfortunately the cost has made a certain part of my anatomy squeak loudly , but it is no good saying I wish so here,we go - my tribute to Bomber Command.
