Hopefully I will soon be collecting my 1961 Plus 4 project but I am unsure about the insurance situation. It will not be on the road for at least 1 year but I would still like to have it insured during transit on my trailer and whilst it is in storage and being worked on at home.
Can anyone advise on the best way to achieve adequate cover please?

As i understand it your insurance for such a classic and its value will make minimal difference of your premium whether your driving it or not,

I find Morgan - Headley insurance very helpful and know the quirks of Morgan ownership - my Mog & Fiesta are both insured with them

I've been insured with Gott & Wynn on a limited mileage classic policy. It makes no difference whether is is on the road or off the road the cost is the same but the cover is good.

At one time one could get a VOR policy, Vehicle Off Road, for rebuild projects. Fire and theft only.
Failing that you'll have to get a classic policy as Roger says.

Just be careful that whatever policy you get still covers the vehicle if it is dismantled and under restoration. I suspect most vehicle policies wouldd exclude cover when it is undergoing such major work.
