Many who know me will know that I always wear a hoody as it's the only upper body wear of choice for all the Morgan owning demographic

Infact I live in a hoody day and night and for all occasions

IF ONLY Morgan were to sell a hoody with a big Morgan logo across the front

Oh wait a minute ....

Stewart,

You'll be lucky if there's any left in stock.....they're selling like hot cakes......

I'm not interested in most of the stuff in the Morgan shop, but for the few things I would like the shipping is prohibitively expensive. I just tried to order three little items totaling 8 quid and to Massachusetts shipping was quoted as 19 quid.

I perceive that Morgan would like to sell new cars to the young brigade who would sell their quality Germany cruisers to move up. This is unlikely to happen except in a few cases and no amount of merchandising will change this.

The much larger group are classic car owners and bike owners who understand the brand. These people represent numbers but I don't think Morgan really appreciate the untapped potential.

And how many Howards are out there with sore bums from sitting on the fence? What are Morgan doing to pull the Howards in?

Another reason it's unlikely to happen is because youngsters in German cruisers have nothing to sell. Audis, BMWs, Mercedes - all leased, handed back after 3 years, no money to do anything other than stay on the treadmill of rented peacock feathers.

Rented Peacock Feathers.... I do like that phrase!!

So MMC needs to be able to offer exactly the same sort of PCP deals? I'm sure with the robust residuals that trad Morgans have the monthly payments should be really attractive!

The paradox is that the abundance of used PCP-financed cars eventually destroys the very residuals that (along with record low wholesale money market rates) permit the attractive PCPs. Porsche for example has trashed its residuals.

I'm always looking forward to the interesting metal that I will be able to pick up cheaply at some point in the future with my 'unfashionable' cash.
