I perceive that Morgan would like to sell new cars to the young brigade who would sell their quality Germany cruisers to move up. This is unlikely to happen except in a few cases and no amount of merchandising will change this. Another reason it's unlikely to happen is because youngsters in German cruisers have nothing to sell. Audis, BMWs, Mercedes - all leased, handed back after 3 years, no money to do anything other than stay on the treadmill of rented peacock feathers. Rented Peacock Feathers.... I do like that phrase!! So MMC needs to be able to offer exactly the same sort of PCP deals? I'm sure with the robust residuals that trad Morgans have the monthly payments should be really attractive! I don't think they are at all I got a finance quote for a new four seater about 4 years ago before I had saved up enough money for a second hand one through Morgan's finance broker and it was just silly I just don't think lenders will see enough volume or know enough about the selling the cars on to risk low affordable rates

The much larger group are classic car owners and bike owners who understand the brand. These people represent numbers but I don't think Morgan really appreciate the untapped potential.
And how many Howards are out there with sore bums from sitting on the fence? What are Morgan doing to pull the Howards in? I would also be concerned about retaining existing customers/owners.....on this site alone there have been a number of people who, having had less than favourable experiences, have chosen to jump ship. Sadly, most of them not because of the issues themselves but the inability to resolve those issues effectively. There is no point in going to great lengths to attract customers if you then cannot retain them.

The big volume manufacturers self-finance the lease costs against their own balance sheets. With no external finance broker to pay and a Standard & Poor's Credit Rating of 'A' Daimler AG (for example) can fund Mercedes PCPs at a few hundredths of a percent above current ECB base rates of zero!! One day, this house of cards (manufacturer-backed leases based on unsustainable residuals) will tumble when base rates rise or the 'approved used' schemes can no longer prop up 3yr old car prices, but meantime Morgan could come no-where near to these rates.

There is one item that should NOT be sold in the shop. Condoms. They are bound to leak!

I've heard they should be replaced after five years? Even if they are not worn out.

I hear that Morgan are about to get serious about providing finance to buyers... presumably they've at long last heard it's another way to make money, alongside Factory Tours, Cosmetics, Clothing, Mugs.... oh, and making cars.
