If you have a Plus 8 on the Aero chassis and fitted with the Morgan rack you will know that removing the rack leaves a pair of "prongs" sticking up. This photos shows what i mean, and with the rear cover removed for an annual clean inside: Another view with the cover on and from the side. I felt this looked untidy and after some thought made up a single bar to bridge the gap. I used 15mm copper water pipe, with a couple of soldered joints. Why copper tube? Simply because I had some bits in the garage and it is easy to work with. Painted silver to match the roll bar here it is: Looks OK, certainly much better than the two prongs. it needs to be chrome and without joints! I also wonder if it should curve up from the rear panel so it stands a bit higher. And from the top: I'll think about it for a while, listen to comments and then see if I can find "someone" to make it! Let me know what you think!

How about turning it into a rear badge bar Peter?
For overspill!

I'd have one. I drive around without my rack for 99.99% of the time and therefore this idea is ideal. I did mention to Cain about designing such a thing - you've saved him the trouble!

Very nice Peter. How about just spraying it with shiny chrome paint? Nick

nice job Peter I agree it might benefit from standing slightly 'prouder' from the cover. Why not make it up in ready chromed, copper water pipe - the type they use for showers, etc. when it's going to be on display.....? James

Lovely job..!
Yes to making it a bit more 'proud' off the body, and yes to a badge bar mounting point..
Nice one!

Well done Peter. Looks much better.
I've been meaning to get around to sorting something along those lines for my Plus 8 for sometime!
