LHR cancelled the flights, 80 in all. Not the airlines, they were told they had to cancel flights.
BA also had a strike with a small, but significant number of Cabin staff not going in to work.
So, perhaps a bit harsh on BA?

about 1 inch last night in hampshire but it didnt settle, at home in Essex same thing, but all hell could break lose by the sound of it!

In spite of a clip on local news last night implying that the Lickey Hills had been hit by heavy snow....a light dusting this morning. Hate the stuff myself....not quite sure why I've let myself in for a weeks skiing next month!

Five inches here in Massachusetts a few days ago--while my snow thrower is away for repair. Had to clear my 100-yard long driveway by hand.
