42 miles behind at 2130, but now both in the same wind and doing 7kts VMG. Going to be a tight finish, but odds must be on Armel. Choosing the moment to tack for Les Sables will be critical. Fascinating to see who tacks first.

The wind is looking a bit flukey and unpredictable to the finish. Could go either way.

Looks like Armel has got it! 93 miles ahead and 95 miles to go. Although I'd have liked Alex to win, you have to admire Armel. Second in the last two races and a ractically brilliant race this time. I'd love to be at the finish.

You can't possibly admire him - he's French! Probably some dastardly foreign way he has sneaked in first

You can't possibly admire him - he's French! You'll probably find that he describes himself as a Breton. They're very much like the Cornish - more so than a Breton is to a Parisian or a Cornishman is to a Londoner. Anyhoo, many congratulations to him. He sailed an awesome race, and Alex Thompson put him under huge pressure for most of it.

Great race! Well done to Armel and Alex. Alex did particularly well with the handicap of a broken foil for much of the race, and his regular videos from the boat were very entertaining!
