The most common luggage rack seems to be the 'with side-screen storage' version. It locates onto over-rider brackets with cranked L brackets and a nut & bolt each side. It locates onto the full rear bumper with similar but flat brackets. The T bar fixing is a flattened part of a cross tube which is exactly in line with the spare wheel centre.

But there are other versions. One version, which may be the 'no side-screen storage' version has a cross tube which is well below the spare wheel centre and therefore has a large round stainless 'washer' welded to the cross tube which locates under the T bar. I would like to get a photograph of this version.
Another version has a different fit to over-riders with a vertical tube sprouting from the over-rider brackets. I don't know exactly how these fit, and this is another photograph which I would like to get.
Finally, one version, at the rear, has a 'J' shaped tube which stops the side-screens slipping down & out. Guess what - yep, a photo.
If all else fails I will sort this out at the MOG event.

I had the vertical tube type on my plus 4 Dave, a threaded and tapered spigot sits behind the over rider with a nut on the back and the tube from the rack just pushes onto its taper. Occasionally I had to push it home as the tubes work their way off the taper a bit.
It's good to be able to store the screens but down side is the rack sits quite high as its 'thicker'.
I also turned a thick stainless washer to sit between the threaded T bar and the rack, the polished flat plate marks very easily.

I am trying to put a luggage rack on my Roadster with out bumpers or over riders. Because of the size of the spare tyre and wheel 225.50.16. I need a rack without side screen storage . Any one have one they don't want ?
