That Gibson was an ES-295, the same body as a 175, but with gold hardware and the same powdered bronze finish as the "Gold Top" Les Paul. Scotty Moore made the the 295 famous 29 1955 with Elvis. Was a life long dream to own one. Had it 25 years, But my arthitis and carpal tunnel made me sell it after not playing it for 10 years. Same for all my other musical equipment that has to go.
Sad to hear, but hopefully it will play on while you drive on. Realized again that you are in Detroit; the axe in my photo is a USA Reverend, made in Eastpointe.
One of my friends plays Reverends. I think they are made in Nashville now. He is the guitar player for Elvis Hitler and has a one of their Flying Vs and an Unknown Hinson model...
