Just spent my first Australia day in Aus, they sure know how to enjoy themselves.
On a separate note how does the suspension on Mogs stand up to the rough roads here, at present driving a rental that's more like a pogo stick to drive and a bit worried how the Morgan suspension will survive. We are in Adelaide area.

Glad you had fun.

All I can say is that in WA the suspension is fine....

My father had the same thought in 1948 at the Earls Court motor show where he ordered an MG instead of a Morgan. He was more concerned about the wooden frame than the suspension. Except for country dirt roads I don't think Australian roads are any worse than some of the roads around the UK.

If your rental is like a pogo stick it is more likely that the dampers are not up to the job than the suspension itself.

laugh

That looks pretty good to me.

On that kind of road the trick is to go fast enough to float over the corrugations. Most people who are not accustomed to driving on dirt roads go too slow. About 120 clicks on that one should be fine smile

The three of us drove for about 100 kms on such roads. No other traffic. Was simply best experience in a car I've ever had. Nothng stupid. Just great fun. I took one 90 degree bend around a field boundary a bit too fast and felt the rear slide but nothing major and just smiles from ear to ear.

Took a long time to remove dust and small stones but what fun.
