I thought the VED for all Roadsters after 2007 was £500, but the gov uk site says £295 is this correct?

Only the first generation were £500 IIRC, then the tax came down as the next gen had sufficiently lower emissions...
Vague memory over this. Newer than I'll ever own so didn't pay that much attention! blush

Dont know about roadsters specifically but the ved did drop when a larger initial tax was brought on on new cars. So my fezza is 559 whilst the later ones are 200 or so.

My 2009 Roadster has the lower rate. Compensation for the lack of a "Jaguar" badge on the engine 😈😉

A pleasant surprise, the Yorkshire man in me surfaces when tax is involved.

There was a change which added extra bands at the top in '2006', but there were concessions for cars built between two dates which kept them two groups lower.
So there are probably four road tax bands for 3.0L Roadsters. The early ones are the cheapest - not much above £200, but around 06/07 there are some in the £450+ bracket.

All this is what happens when politicians dress up taxation in "good for the environment" packaging. Then when manufacturers do what the politicians say they want, the politicians then realise that the tax take goes down so they then invent new taxation to compensate!!!!!
