Check the rubber at the front of the bonnet by the cowel where it touches the front of the body, if it's missing it will squeak like this, check the cap screws under the bonnet that secure the body, again these can model slightly loose and allow the body to move. Try fdriving it with the bonnet off, you might get a clue. Had all the above, all quiet now Will check this today. As it is just a single, loud squeak - it does sound like body panels working against each other. Could not find anything in the front suspension that seemed loose or worn (only about 2K miles on it) and the drive belt looks centered, no dramatic wear of the cogs.

I had exactly that when it went over a bump, drove me mad. Turned out the cap screws that hold the body on under the bonnet were not fully tight. Tightened them and it's stopped. Good luck

Finally took my M3W to the local dealer. Relatively quickly he diagnosed the problem to be a drive belt that was looser than factory recommendations, so that was rubbing on the small aluminum stone guard just in front of the rear tire.
Some posts on TalkMorgan had recommended adjusting the belt so you can twist the belt 90 degrees....in hopes of protecting the bevel box. I had loosened mine to be able to twist somewhat less than 90 degrees, but still more than the way it came from the factory.
Dealer claims that the bearings, etc., in the bevel box are so robust, that protecting them simply isn't a worry unless you tighten the belt crazy tight. According to him, 10mm flex or movement at the center of the belt is proper.
Problem solved.

Glad they got it sorted, and thank you for the follow up on it. 10mm deflection is an easy enough rule of thumb to keep in ones noggin.

What is the correct belt tightness spec? I know my dealer said mine shipped too tight, but I do not know what spec they were using.

I believe I just found another source of squeaks. It is the panel that attaches to the cowl covering the electrics and the behind the dash area. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/08/24/Squeak.jpg) This appears to be the source of the tinny high pitch bird sound. I will cover in leather or the tape that is on the front of the bonnet.
