Hi,
I am looking for info on the rolloverbar that was supplied with the track-pack of the 4/4 sport some years ago (2010?)
Not sure if it is still supplied by Morgan, could'nt find it on the Morgan or AR website.

Is it still available from Morgan?
Who supplied it to Morgan?
Is it the same as the rolloverbar by Techniques?
http://www.techniques.uk.com/styling/mainframe4a.html

I want to fit it in my 2010 Roadster sport.
I know there will be issues with the easy-up hood, I will have to "manage". I am aware of the Librands rollbar that fits under the easy-up, I installed it in my Plus 4 in 2008, but I prefer the look and feel of the 4/4 sport bar over the Librands.

Regards, Jasper

Have you asked Librands about their bolt on higher spec bar? It was an option to replace the standard height one.

I found that I was very close to banging my head on the factory roll bar. Ok on a track with a helmet but for road use I decided to look elsewhere. The Librands looks ok but I don't know how much protection it would give in a rollover....the search goes on!

Hi Sospan, I havent asked Librands about their competition hoop. I have seen the picture on their site. Not seen it on a car though, so not sure how it looks and how it sits relative to the head(rests).
Would it fit under a studded hood? The Morgan bar doens fit under the easy-up but does fit under the studded hood, that makes it a nice intermediate height I thought. I'll ask though. Thanks J

This is I believe a Librands on a Sport. It was nicely engineered and removable with reasonable ease.

I like the tan wheels to match the upholstery.

When I saw the pics from Rich I was very pleased that they had been swapped for black ones before it came to me.

I hope you don't mind that I put a couple of shots up David thumbs.

The "Trackpack" roll-bar was a double welded-in diagonal bar which fitted under the traditional hood. I think that it was made by "Safety Devices". I had one on my Sport Competition but it was dangerous when used without a helmet and impractical for road use because it made access to the limited luggage space even more difficult, (although it did improve the handling by stiffening up the rear of the car).
A single diagonal bar as supplied by Techniques is probably a better choice.

Safety Devices are the main makers of roll bars with or without cross bars. But doent look as pretty as the Librand ones.
