power with permanent + can drain your battery if you let it parked for long time, after ignition is more safe but all it's based on what you do with the car and what do you expect from the dash cam.
that's my 2 cent's

Well I connected my little panel to the switched live for the radio so I don't get the drain. I'll start a new thread to show what I have done.
