On the Duratec Plus 4 the aircon compressor is on the right hand side of the engine. I don't know if the GDI model is the same but I imagine it is. This means that there is a fairly long run of tubing which on my car ran behind the radiator and along the chassis to rise up over the driver (left side) foot well to arrive at the heater/aircon box in the centre of the car. Morgan insulate the tubes as they run behind the radiator but not elsewhere. I got some extra insulating material and insulated the full run of the tube from the compressor to the air box. I feel this is important because the engine bay gets very hot with the engine heat and the air from the radiator. The other problem on my car, and I believe it is still the same, was that the foam seal that sits on top of the air box has a gap for the hinge. When I was last in the UK I purchased some extra pre-cut foam (which is a closed cell foam so as to form a seal, not to pass air) but I still had to cut it to fit.

In the first photo you can clearly see the gap in the foam that allows hot engine air to enter. Even if you do not have aircon this is a problem that should be resolved or you get hot air coming in in summer when you really do not want it.

You can also see the tube insulation in these photos. Note the bent piece of plastic (if I remake it I will do it in aluminium) that closes the centre section above the intake. This is not fastened in place permanently so that the filter foam underneath can be removed and replaced if needed.
