Sorry to correct you chaps; but IMHO the best way to the perfect bacon sarnie is as follows. Hop on the train for the 15 minute ride to Sandy Park on match day, home of the Exeter Chiefs. Just past the players entrance is both a bar and a stall that provides a truly super bacon and egg sarnie, (or sausage and egg if preferred) Apply brown sauce to taste, then wash down with a pint of Otter Amber or Guinness.  I'm with you 80% of the way Simon, but depending on conditions/mood i'd opt for a chunk pasty, or the hot pork bap with apple sauce and stuffing.

The best bacon sarnies by miles were at Aston Martins service facility at Newport Pagnell. I've started two classic runs from there and both times the bacon was fantastic.
As you would expect............

Sorry to tell you lads but you are all wrong . You need a Gregg's STOTTIE only sold up here the bacon has to come from a game butcher in Ripley near Harrogate . 3 slices fried just to just to the edge of the crispy stage. Its like making love to all the Miss Worlds at once only better. They dont use HP brown on them . While getting ready this m/ing I let  have a sleep in I asked whats for b/fast and she replied "how about a Bacon butty" after what you are reading .  Now that's got Dean salivating , not the Miss Worlds the Gregg's Stottie bacon butty.

I was thinking about me when I said slim . When I met in 1976 I was 6st 12lb and ate like 2 horses used to come out of the pub call in the chippy large fish and a pile of chips a short walk home . Then do myself 4 slices of toast and a large tin of beans off to bed after dumping the lot in the sink.
