Thanks for replies. There won't be room for spare hats due to cosmetics. How much difference, say at 60 mph, percentagewise, please?

We cruise at 70 for hours on long journeys where motorways are unavoidable. In fact MrsW sleeps most of the time so it can't be that bad. It does depend on the prevailing weather. Windy weather probably has more effect than speed.

I can understand that. When we get to your age we'll probably consider doing the same.

Oooo boys now now!
I have a removable mesh windbreak on my car.
It was already fitted when I bought the car. By Willams.
Mrs RB loves it.
It does get a lot of road dust on the back of it just proving that it does work and stops dust swirling back into the car.

Dw - you cruise comfortably at 70, but WITH the breaker?
That seems to be convincing, it got a bit blowy on my test drive. RB, how does the mesh one compare, with and without?

Well, MrsW can sleep on a washing line but we do long distances and she's happy. Quite a catch really!

What sort of pegs do you use Dave?
I have a mesh diffuser which I've used when Mrs. W faces a long passengership. It makes an enormous difference to the buffeting and makes conversation easily possible up to about 75/80. It also gets very dirty on the rear face showing it does block air flow. It's hardly ever on the car though as I actually like all the air movement without it. Incidentally, mine is a bmw convertible mini rear diffuser. It's a foldup thing that slots into the folded easyup perfectly. No need for mountings at all.

Nick , Great news, thanks. I'll check out Mimi accessories. My hood is the old type: Anyone know how it compares with the Williams gadget. I don't think my craftmanship can match DW's
