Now I know why I don't fly them. BA do a mean English breakfast & in the Concorde room at LHR great kippers.

I have never seen a kipper in Dubai though or on Qatar or Emirates Sounds a bit fishy to me......

I have never seen a kipper in Dubai though or on Qatar or Emirates I'll check the Emirates lounge for kippers at Dubai on Friday morning and get back to you. But John I think you're right, it is a kipper free zone but then so are most airport lounges. Maybe there's a reason for this. A John Cleese sketch comes to mind.. the body in the cupboard and the kipper in the suit pocket?? Who knows. Love kippers.

At the rate Qantas are losing money I think I had better use my frequent flyer points ASAP.
Am I the only one that finds this submissive catering to the religious sensitivities of a particular group somewhat annoying, No pork at schools, on airlines etc and dress codes to suit. Alternatives should be offered to those who can't, or don't want to, eat particular foods for some reason but I don't see why that should limit my choices. Regarding drive dress codes I have never thought of any hostess's uniform as particularly sexy so I don't see why they should have to wear clothing that is not in accordance with the culture of their country or the country of their employer.
