Funny you should bring this up. I am currently making a list of what to keep in my kit as the weather improves. Aside from parts, I will likely keep the following with me:

Are exhaust bobbins still an issue on the latest M3W's?

I keep checking mine (2016 with 6,100 miles). Bobbins are fine as is everything else.

I'm not going to mess with flats on the road. That deserves a tow. If the rear goes you won't be able to get to it anyway. The cambelt cover spacers are doing well. If you think you need to carry a new belt you will also need to carry 3 3/16 diameter shafts about two inches long to lock the cams in position to put the belt on as well as a printed set of instructions to do so. Been there done that.

Watch the bobbins on the rectifier. They fail too. One can also use them in a pinch to fix a sheered exhaust bobbin. Same size

Carry some soft wire, if exhaust bobbins fail you can hang it of one of the tonneau pegs till you get somewhere to fix it.

The later cars use uprated, universal M8 bobbins. I replaced these after two years while fitting the Stage 1 but they showed no sign of deterioration. If you were to get one of these fail early it would be worth making sure they are not under tension due to poor exhaust alignment as this may also lead to an eventual exhaust failure.

If you plan keeping a spare in your kit it is worth knowing the ones removed had been trimmed at the factory by just under 1/4" on the exhaust side.

I carry a tool roll containing full set of metric spanners ratchet and open end, doubling up on popular sizes, screwdrivers, pliers, 1/4" square drive ratchet/extension, couple of sockets and set of hex head drivers to match, Stanley knife, tie wraps, wire, tape, vaseline, tyre inflator, ACF-50, spare spark plugs and copper/hide hammer for knock-ons. All fitting in Stanley tool bag and easily accessible in boot.

Litre of engine oil, polish and cloths, spare inner tube and sometimes 12 volt tyre inflator as well if it's not being used elsewhere.

TBH never needed to use on the road but useful to have instantly to hand at end of journey.

Metric?? When did Morgan go to Metric? I have a garage full of SAE and Whitworth. A few metric wrenches for what I assumed to be owner mods. Just trying to understand.

Most UK car manufacturers went fully over to metric fittings during the 70's. Morgan would have needed to follow suit, with bought in components at least.

BTW metrication started in Britain 2000 years ago when the Romans invaded, we resisted of course which is why it took a while to catch on
