Hi all
Wondered if i can pick anyone's brain. I have recently started to hear an squeak from the back end when I take my foot of the accelerator and even more pronounced when I change down a gear. Sounds like its from the back end but given all the sounds one hears in a 3W compared to normal cars its a little hard to tell. Any thoughts?

I didn't have a squeak back there, but a hell of a rattle going over bumps, I thought "great, the rear suspension is coming loose". Turned out to be the zipper on the tonneau rattling against the plastic boot tray!

I have had this problem twice. In every instance, the drive belt needed adjustment. In one case, the belt was loose enough to rub on the small, mud deflector just forward of the rear tire.
Second time the side-to-side adjustment was slightly off, allowing the belt to rub on the side of the tire.
In all cases, the squeak started on throttle lift.
Adjust the belt so it has 10mm travel when you press in the middle and has a decent gap between it and the tire...still tracking so it doesn't rub on the sides of the rear sprocket.

Thanks for the info. I have a slow puncture which the factory say they will sort for me so will let them have a tinker at the same time

What do you consider a decent gap? I've wondered due to the minimal choice of tire here in the states, but even just a touch wider and you can get all sorts of nicer compounds, rather than a winter radial =D
