The issue with the Aero 8 is not one of corrosion, mine has never yet been out in (to quote Mr Clarkson)... even "mildly moist" road conditions ... the brackets are effectively shearing with the vibration/torque twisting effect of that engine....

I thought perhaps that the cobbled streets of Edinburgh may be a contributory factor but I don't take it into town that much, although having said even the surfaced roads in town are reminiscent of a shell scarred battlefield!

Not wanting to tempt fate but after 90,000 miles in Aero's with side exits and 25,000 with rear exits, the exhaust brackets have never failed!

Did have one exhaust box go. That was what gave me the chance to switch the S4 from solo side exits units to twin side exits.

One of my "infinity" rear brackets failed at the weld. Just made a stronger one up an been fine.
