My only thought is that they seem mounted a bit high. It makes everything seem crammed into a small spot visually. not sure if its possible, but from an aesthetics, my opinion.

I forgot one very important point when I started this thread. Just like my Magnaflow muffler conversion I did not modify anything on the M3W during this fog lamp addition with the exception of one small hole under the dash for the toggle switch. The switch can't be readily seen however it's very easy to turn on and off from the sitting position. So with that said everything can be easily be put right back to all original in no time at all.

To answer about lowing the lamps...that is not possible as I made the custom mounting brackets as short as possible for that reason and the mounting hardware is a little complex with left and right adjustments on the bottom of the mount and the lamp angle adjustment on the top of the mount. However I don't really feel the lamps are too high and actually center close to the gear box cover. My other goal was to keep the lamps as close to even to the front of the motor which I was able to do. Again the lamps do help camouflage the big modern coil springs and fill in the two black holes one of which is has the rectifier.

Here are some dusk photos. The first is with just the fog lamps on. Then the first position down on the light switch and fog lamps. Finally the second position down on the driving lights and fog lamps. I can tell you the camera doesn't do the amber light justice. Obviously I'm not a professional photographer and I'm quite sure they could do a lot better. However this gives us a little better idea of the lights. I may be doing some videos soon....hope your reading this Grockle!!

Still deciding & welcome your thoughts!

I like the look - and think they look better down there than mounted up on the new US-spec light bar in front of the cylinders. The amber is a nice retro touch also. Also, the make a nice "V" when on with the headlights, albeit now quite the right angle to match the cylinders :-)

Couldn't have done any better. Safety is always #1 and you nailed it with the retro lamps!!!

I think they look great.

What wattage are they each?

I just hope your alternator can keep up with them plus the headlights.

I do quite like them, HN. Gives your car a unique look and, from what you say about the weather where you live, sounds like a good idea to have them!
