Back again for more wisdom and advice. I finally managed to track a set of six, no less, original Morgan centre lock alloys in really nice condition but I now have to make a decision on what tyres to fit. I will happily foresake wear for grip so fellow Plus 8 or Roadster owners, any recommendations ? Pirrelli P7's have been mentioned. My original equipment wire wheels are fitted with Yokohamas but I'm not overly impressed with these. I'm happy to stick with the standard size of 205/55R16 as I'm not a fan of the lower profile sizes. Thanks once again in anticipation. Steve

NB: Now had the full front bumper and Cibie spots fitted, will post some photos once the transformation with the alloy wheels has been completed.

The sprinters use kuhmo ecsta v70 tyres. Different compounds are available. Not sure on sizes.

On my Plus 8 I replaced my Yokohama two years ago with a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 205 55 ZR 16 that should fit your Alloy centre lock wheels.
They are softer than the Yoko and a lot better under rain.

Similar decision to make for my +8 which has 205 60 15's.

Did you buy the P6's? If so,what is the verdict?

Hi Malcolm, I've still to make the purchase but I will be sticking with the P6's which having inspected the current tyres on the car should'nt be too long as they are nearly on the wear indicators. Ultimately I think if you stick with a decent performance make tyre, it really comes down to price thereafter.

Will still be interested in the verdict whenever you do come to change.
The P6s are recommended by my supplier, but a number of people strongly recommend Toyo T1Rs. However, their tallest profile is 55 which could influence ride, so I'm still wondering.....

After changing to some sort of Dunlop (recommended ) I had nothing but trouble with the back end all over the place, at the Time I also had a TT & their website suggested Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 205 55 ZR 16, I have found these tyres excellent, they have reputation of second to none for wet condition handling ( a must for a Plus 8 - more important than dry road handling).
