They look really good and I am sure that they are an excellent choice for the car.

Thanks for compliments.

I looked it up on the Michelin site. Quite an intersting tyre. Probably the 185/70 R15 is the only size in that style that would fit on a Morgan but it can go on rims from 5.0" to 6.5" so could be used on the 6" wheels that come standard on the Plus 4. Not cheap but not ridiculously expensive either. My feeling is that these are really an excellent choice for a Plus 4 and for most people on a light car like the Morgan would last until you wanted to change them for reasons of age rather than wear.

Dream cars

At the end of the 1960s, Germany and Italy were the leaders in the European motorway development programme. They were also the main manufacturers of cars which could increasingly exceed 200 km/h (124 mph). The broad stretches of asphalt and the absence of speed limits offered a privileged few the opportunity to make full use of the performance of these “super cars” at speeds which would have been unthinkable.

- The Lamborghini Miura (1966), Ferrari 365 (1965), Maserati Ghibli (1966), De Tomaso Pantera (1970), Porsche 911 Carrera RS (1972) were the undisputed stars, but the large German saloons like the Mercedes 300 SE 6.3L (1968) and BMW 3.0 Si (1971) also made a strong impression.

- The French were also present with the Citroën SM (1970), as were the British with the legendary Jaguar E-Type V12 (1970) and Aston Martin DBS (1967).

Informed observers will note that this exceptional performance was achieved on tyres of the same width as those that fit today’s small family cars.

And white walls are a nightmare to keep clean.
I've only had one set. In 1982.

There is an entire gamut of accessories with which a Gentleman should never be seen:

Co respondents shoes
Pringle socks or sweaters when not on a Golf Course
Ties which exactly match the colour of the shirt
Whitewalled tyres on anything other than a 1930's American automobile.
