Wait till you come across Japanese tourists. We were driving around the
Lake District at a stop junction a group of Japanese just stood taking pictures of the Morgan
Also staying at Rudding Park Hotel which is a five star job with parking attendants. The General Manager instructed Taffmog and myself to park our Green Morgans at the front door .A new Ferrari owner was not impressed when asked to move it !

New E63/M5/RS6 are all over 600bhp now. Also 4WD so the power is converted as fast as the petrol. What's the point in a Jag F Type ?

I borrowed a Caterham quite a few years ago and I ended up driving the wheels off it for a few days before realising how fast I was going on public roads and handing it back prior to some bad ending. I would need a track if I was going to own one of those. I would go postal in it whenever I took it out because of the response and reactions.

The trad is the antidote for the crazy. Great feedback and workload without the risk.

I was on the edge of building a Raw Striker from Mel Coppick in Hereford. A Lotus7 style. Spec sorted, prices sorted, just needed to order. It was meant to be a weekend fun car for some trackdays too.
I spotted a Morgan photo. Now, years ago I saw one my dad was rebuilding for someone and liked it ( circa 1960).
It got me thinking......
Did some research. Trawled the dealers. Spotted a 1993 4/4 at Allon White. Bought it.
swmbo was a bit iffy at first.
She came round after seeing the Taffmog scene and enjoyed the social side.
Now upgraded to a 2002 plus8..... swmbo didn't bat an eyelid!
no need for high speed to enjoy a Morgan ( most of the time!).
The "problem" is getting into chats with admirers almost eveywhere! Just kidding. Only an issue if busy.
Several instances of getting preferential parking too.
It is definitely a different experience of ownership.

And that is why the Morgan is so good. It puts the fun back into driving at 40mph.

As JtL points out. You look out - thousand of people look out - at you.

When people see the Morgan they see friendly, gentle, kind and other good words. They approach you differently.

If you put two equal people at University in a Morgan and a tweaked out Saxo I know which one will see more action. Why don't they tell you this when you are young for heaven's sake.
