Giles that posts verges on cruelty. I'd like to know where the pic was taken but I guess it's academic as it could be anywhere on the med or adriatic. We've just had our first evening meal on the roof terrace which is my way of saying that spring/summer has come to central Europe far too late this year. However the swifts have arrived and tonight put on a fine aerobatic display.

Nope. It's a more distant part of France. That is to say Saint Martin in the Caribbean.

Just come back from a western Med cruise last week, more worried about icebergs than sunburn. Staying in barmy Wales from now on. snow

Sorry about the rain smile

Today's photo from Mandello del Lario. You will notice that there is not a cloud in the sky innocent

I use our solar system to judge how little rain we've had smile

This is yesterdays...a perfect blue sky day in the midst of Autumn. Not bad return for a 3kW system at this time of year.

I was going to post "who's going out in the rain?". Now I know. Much needed though!

Well its been a few years since there were last icebergs here. Where I am now was under several hundred metres of ice during the ice age. We know this because there are boulders that have been carried on the ice from near the Stelvio and deposited up near the 1,000 metre level(800 above the lake). Sure the mountains have probably been pushed up over thousands of years but it was still one hell of a lot of ice in this valley.
