Looks a bit X3 to me with that bonnet/windscreen profile. Bound to be comfy though.

Isn't this a Ford Kuga in disguise but 30% more expensive?

Not my type of car but I can see the attraction and agree it will probably sell well.

Looks like a lot of other SUVs to me, but then I never really "got" them. Never understood the S in SUV, what "sport" do they represent? Weight lifting? Caber tossing? Pie eating? hide

SUV is a nonsense.
"Elevated seating" is the key thing and 4x4 is nothing special for SUV's. Most of the premium sedans have 4x4 drive too.

ROFL, and that's why after 14 years with Volvo I bought a Ford Kuga 2 years ago ;-).

When Ford bought Volvo they were on a visit to product engineering in Gothenburg and were shown the soon to be released prototype XC60 and the drawings for its phase 1 facelift scheduled for 4 years further on. Much mumbling and we later learnt they had a very similar model mid size (to us) crossover in its final phase of development back in the States. Their car was delayed, in fact it never did appear, and they went with the XC60 platform with a few body tweaks and that became the Kuga in the UK market.

As you say significantly cheaper for essentially the same technology, different styling for sure but the running gear is all the same.

Certainly the last! grin2
Says he with a mini-SUV style Ford / full fat Fiesta laugh2 But only 4x2...
And it is much better than the GM/MB CLC it replaced. Just one example is that a rain soaked car does not empty half the water coating from the tailgate into the boot area when the tailgate is opened!

Ugly, and it looks like most of the smaller SUVs selling here in the USA. Sorry just my .02 cents.
