The dropbox option (several other options of this type exist, MS OneDrive, Box, iCloud Photo sharing etc etc) is probably the simple one. Sign up for an account and you usually get 500 Mb or enough to host lots of photos.
Most of these work like a disc in the cloud. They offer a small application that downloads to your PC or Mac which typically gives you a folder on your desktop or in downloads folder. You simply drop the photos into this folder on your machine and this copies them up to the cloud. Give it a short time to sync up to the cloud fully. Then do an alt/click on the desktop using the mouse button to bring up the menu this gives you an option to share the picture.
In some cases they will also offer to backup your photos automatically as you take camera shots on your phone if you install the smartphone app as well. This can be helpful if you don't already have them copied off somewhere for posterity. It also saves you doing manual copies up to the cloud if you use your phone as your camera.
Just remember to use a unique password and don't put in the real date of birth on your profile.

"Webspace" is essentially a website. In the past Internet Service Providers would give you free webspace, but very few people actually wanted to create their own website so now most, if not all, ISP's have discontinued their webspace service (BT got rid of their years ago and Virgin a year or two back, I don't think Plusnet ever had it). You can still get webspace of course and, as mentioned above, you'll then have complete freedom to upload and link to images on it. But it won't be free: Top 10 Web Hosting Companies (You could set up a home webserver but that would be a bit excessive just to post images to a forum). ~iw Including your own domain, the possibility to create a web site (Wordpress blog or whatever) host images, have up to 5 of your own email addresses that you can control, etc should not cost more than about £80 or £90 a year I would have thought.

Why not? No point making life easy for criminals. Your date of birth is a very useful piece of data for someone wanting to create a fake identity.

Correct.
If someone you do not know goes through these questions then be worried.
Oh I am a Virgo what sign are you, when is your birthday ?
How old will you be next birthday ?
Person now has your birth date.
Watch the next questions they ask you (mother in law = where is your family from ?)
