Hello - I'm new to this forum and see that tyres have been talked about previously, but I'm curious (slightly concerned) about the different handling of my Plus 4 now I have new rear tyres. The factory fitted Yokohama have been changed to Goodyear Efficient Grip and I have noticed a definite change in the handling. Where the car previously sat firm on the road it now has some bounce to it – tyre pressure 22psi – and would welcome any thoughts?

The tyres are part of the suspension. Old tyre walls harden so that could be part of the issue.
When were the rear springs last greased?

G'morning & welcome to the TM madhouse.
John has a point regarding the tyre age hardening. I'm not sure how old your original tyres were, but it is a fact that may affect your instinctive feel. Have you changed the tyre profile ratio with the new tyres I wonder? A taller tyre profile may also affect the bounciness you mention.

25 psi (1,7bar) seems to be right for my car (Vredestein 185/70 15R)

Thank you - Car registered in 2010 but tyres 2009. I'm not mechanically technical; by taller profile do you mean all the extra tread on a new tyre?

The 8 year old tyres would have been very hard hence the change.
You can add more air to the tyres if you want but I would advise not to go v high. Say 25 psi

I have also just changed from original fitment Yokohama to Good Year efficient grips on my 2011 Plus 4. I certainly noticed the "softer" ride ( and less rattles etc) but am pleased with my choice. The old tyres were getting hard walls and the car now feels more like when it was new and is even a greater pleasure to drive. I went for Goodyear because of economy, wet grip and noise ratings being amongst the best (or so they say) I haven't hammered it into bends yet, but don't feel any less confident.

The profile is denoted by the sizing on the tire so 185/60 is a low profile and 185/70 is a taller profile ie taller from the rim to the tread making the car sit a bit higher.

Dear! You mentioned your tyres aged since 2009. I would strongly recommend to change the front tyres too as soon as possible. While they may still look ok they must have turned hard and will have lost most of their grip. Tyres are a minor expense but the only safe connection to the road!
