IIRC The Anniversary cars were supplied with a half tonneau cover which covers only the void behind the seats. The one I saw was a snug fit behind the seat backs.

Kenny - I would try the car without the cover and see how things go. A decent trimmer can then alter the cover to suit you - once you know how you want it to fit.

Adopting a full length tonneau cover (as referred to by others above) may not work depending on if the car has the "lift the dot" pins installed on the padded roll above the dashboard. The pins are usually only fitted if a full tonneau cover is supplied.

I installed a detachable steering wheel. NO not "Super-Spoke". I am too cheap for that. Found one on "Pegasus Racing". Less than $100 US.

All you say is spot on Paul and thanks. I would like a full tonneau but as you correctly guess my car would need work on the leather dash to retrofit the pins. I don't need it desperately enough to do that.

I will indeed use the car next time out with the rear tonneau removed and drive it in a more comfortable position, ie a bit further back from the wheel.

It did disappoint me a tiny bit to find that my 2010 Roadster Sport was not equipped with a tonneau cover even though the dash top was prepared for one. The launch spec suggested that the Sport was furnished with Mohair hood, side screens, and tonneau cover but perhaps mine was lost along the way. It went from the factory to Richard Thorne but its probably too long ago for them to recall.

JPE's are very rare and totally bonkers , never actually seen one in the flesh ! Must have been horrible to let it go !

getting in and out is a practiced art!! In headfirst, left hand on transmission tunnel - bend left knee and slide left leg under the steering wheel while sliding butt into seat lift right leg in to car -- done!! egress the opposite, while getting some leverage from steering wheel.
I had a removable steering wheel on my previous 4/4 - came to hate it as
a) if you remove the wheel, you feel a right twat walking round with it and b) if you leave it on and some toerag steals it, then how do you get home???
Best to go to Superspoke and get their wheel with the offset centre - gives more space without the removable hassle!!! -much cheaper too!!(no connection with company, but a definite fan of Steve's skill in making wheels!!!)

Found the best way out, with hood up,right hand on rear of running board, right leg out, push a bit on the steering wheel duck head and pop out. But first check no cowpat thrown up where you put your outside hand, and dont dry you hand on your trousers....just in case.

I spent several months in a body brace after doing my back no good at all in a car crash a few years ago. I was given specific instructions on all sorts of aspects of daily living to minimise any movement of my spine.

One thing that has become a permanent habit is getting out of a car by putting both feet out then standing up. This works fine in the Morgan, the only addition is to move my left knee towards the centre of the car before lifting the foot and moving it out of the car.
