I have just opened a flikr account. I only have a few photos on photobucket but they are also backed up on an external hard drive.
I only use the online sites for posting on TM or similar.
Next job....close photobucket account.

The same for me John. I have had the dreaded overflow gauge warning, and have deleted my account today. Goodbye Photobucket, hello Flickr.  Now all I need to do is upload and link everything to get back to business...

Photobucket account closes 12.7.17. Although bizarrely John your Photobucket hosted avatar is still showing. Edit: Ah, now I see. Your avatar is on the Talk Morgan Photobucket account.

I've just discovered that if I right click the Photobucket default image, click inspect, then delete this bit: Using "delete element" <imgrc="http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa135/gogsy_2007/2014/IMG_55551.jpg" class="post-image" alt=""> The irritating default image vanishes................. EDIT: False alarm. Next time I open it they are back............

I have uploaded my avatar to Flickr as a starter for ten.
But I am not having much success linking it to my profile.
How do I do this please?

Get it below 100x100, then it will link. (Resize). I have tried to use the avatar I had with Photochuckit using Flickr but the forum tells me it is the wrong type!

I have done this; it is now 100x100 (10kb).
But I still have finger trouble.
Is it correct to share the image from Flickr by using the link, e.g. https://www.flickr.com/photos/156526258@N06/shares/ih685E
Something tells me not; I also get 'Improper picture type'.

That link is to a webpage Glenn, not the actual image. Click on your image and you should be able to find the direct link from the "share" icon, the curly arrow. http://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4238/35836304725_df8729d01c_t.jpg
