A lot of drivers today seem to stop at the very last second just a few feet from the back of the rear of cars. I tell young people and some adults too that should know better to approach cars and stop areas slower and allow at least a car length. I started noticing it over a decade ago in my hot rods. Your on a hill at a stop light and a car stops right on top of you. Then you have to really be careful letting out the clutch so you don't roll back.
I do like the idea of a few led lights on the top of the roll bar
IF they were installed so they were flush and somewhat hidden. That would be a winter project. In the mean time in high traffic areas or driving in dark or low light conditions I might start using one of these very inexpensive LED emergency lights. It's battery operated about 3" and has three functions, red on, red flashing and white on. I've had one in each of my cars for years. It has a magnet and a hook that I quickly snapped across the M3W roll bar. I might do one wrap of the self attaching Velcro around the hook for added insurance. As you can see it's eye level and very bright!
The other thing I've recently noticed is the new high performance muscle cars all seem to be running with their amber front lamps on. I don't know if they come on automatically but you notice them immediately even in full daylight and they look sinister. As you know I installed a vintage set of amber lamps on my M3W and they are very visible day or night and I may start using them a lot more. I've also had a lot of compliments on how they look so classic and add to the M3W up front!
