My mother always used to say that you should return a borrowed item in a better condition... not bad advice.

Someone (I can't remember who) borrowed my programme from a concert by The Dudley Moore Trio. Never had it back and can't remember who borrowed it. I'm still miffed after all these years.

This is why I never loan tools out anymore. They ether brake them or most of the time I never see them again, the tools or person.

I also are very choosy who I lend tools to, generally I forget who it was and they never come back. If I borrow something, it goes back clean, serviced and as soon as I have finished with it.

I have two chainsaws, one I lend out if it is working, and one that is for my use only. Both of them are bastards to start.
