Called in at the factory in my car earlier today. Just look at these two beautiful Riley's that were parked up either side of me this afternoon. Gorgeous..!  Well that photo certainly brought a tear to my eyes. My dad and his brothers were big Riley fans, we had Merlins, Kestrels, Monacos, Riley 9's. As kids we wanted a new car and when he bought a Morris 1000 we thought we had arrived!! I wish we still had the Riley's, pre selector gearboxes and a very characteristic engine whine, I believe from the OHC. Happy Days.

I would go for the 1927 Aston Martin from that collection. Very rakish, very Dastardly. The two tone Riley in SBM's photo could be an Airline body: https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=ZSPy...ine&f=false

Agree with Stewart regarding the Riley's , actually just now organised a visit to the factory myself, exactly seventeen years since my last, so looking forward to it.
