After a bad experience with a previous 3.7 Roadster I went back to basics with a '71 4/4/4 seater but I have just succumbed to the lure of all that torque for a touring car. The 4/4 will continue to be improved for historic hillclimbs, trials etc.

Looking good Don. Love the 4-seater. You obviously found the needed information re: roll over bar.
Hope you have better luck with this Roadster thumbs

Cheers,

If you don't mind me asking, what were the 'issues' with the roadster? I only ask as I'm in the market! Feel free to PM if you don't want to air the laundry!

The 3.7 has two ECUs piggy backed. This leads to rev hang. The 3.o cars don't suffer this.

FWIW my 2013 Roadster was fantastic!

No real problems at all.

It's a powerful Morgan - well it was the replacement for the Plus8 after all.

Masses of torque and a joy to drive.

My power steering seemed spot on - just right for me anyway.

Some cars had a problem with hanging revs but mine had a replacement ecu and was never a problem.

It's a lot more £££ to run than the 4/4 and really that was my motivator as I only used the full power very occasionally when in a devilish mood.

Having scratched the itch so as to speak I would recommend it to anyone who wants more power than a Plus4 or just loves the v6 soundtrack as I did.

The car I had is for sale at Ledgerwood Morgan.

In any event let us know what you decide.

Thanks for the tips Neil, - and a lovely looking motor, almost exactly what I'd go for! Timing is never great though, and I'm not going to be in a position to buy until October, but it is well worth getting the feel for the market!

Lovely car Max5....but I would say that... innocent

In some respects you have the ideal garage there: a torquey road car & a very thrashable fun car for some gentle competition.

Good to see.
