New model for me.
Specification for a new 3.7 Roadster.
Morgan 3.7. Bonded alloy chassis
Ford 3.7 Mustang engine.
Automatic transmission.
+ 8 type modern suspension.
Power steering, Fast rack.
Mini light wheels ( with spare). (BLACK).
Tyres as per + 8
Traditional shape body with front splitter valance. no bumpers, no over riders, (colour B.M.W AUSTIN YELLOW METALLIC ). rear panel to be domed type as per A.R.P.4.
Air scoops both sides of bonnet. Black mesh inside the air scoops and black rims to the outer edge
Louvres to top and sides of bonnet.
Centre bonnet long hinge cover to painted black ( not chrome).
Louvres to front wing panel behind front wheels ( as per new style +8).
Lowered roof level with smaller windscreen.
Easy up weather equipment. Including hood, hood cover, tonneau cover to have three zips and head rest panels, side screen bag, spare wheel cover. ( BLACK MOHAIR ). oval rear view window.
Dash. Dark walnut ( nearly black ) with dials ( black ground ) set out as per 2008 Roadster but with speedo in front of steering wheel. Start button.
Windscreen pillars and side screen alloy to be painted black.
Grill and mesh (black).
Black wing beading.
Black leather interior with black piping , side pockets, centre console box, steering column shroud, sun visors, black sports seats with Morgan logo ( heated). Black carpets with black leather edges. Black leather side screen linings.
Black windscreen wipers.
Black door handles with locks.
Black Chassis rail covers.
Black door checks.
Black Quarter panel protectors.
Black windscreen header rail.
Anti roll bar ( painted black). with a rear wind deflector.
Steering wheel to be MOTO LITA EAGLE 3 LEATHER RIM ( BLACK ).
Black Luggage rack.( not chrome ). including fixing brackets.
Side mirrors to be black square shape including mounts.
Trim on any lights to be black
Rear number plate to be under body level ( not above ) in body colour. Front number plate to be decided.
Exhaust to be stainless type with 2 exit pipes to the rear each side, rear (TIPS BLACK).
Front Lights to be L.E.D type with two spot lights the same. No wing top lights. Clear lenses to indicators and break lights. Rear lights to be L.E.D brake lights. Switch for front spot lights to be added to dash.
No radio needed.
Anything that would be chrome ,alloy, stainless or bare metal should be painted black on the body, doors, screen, and dash. The idea is to have no shiny metal showing at all.

Well said - I'm not picturing ----- as an 80's amphetamine king either having met him however I think he will be somewhat amused by the entry..
 Might have his sniffer dog in tow and his mate who knows more than we'll all ever know! Those glasses he wears see more than all of us put together

Well said - I'm not picturing ----- as an 80's amphetamine king either having met him however I think he will be somewhat amused by the entry..

Hang on there KR200. Surely trad Morgans are cruisers to which you add farkles. You decorate them and fiddle with them. Bit like a sort of 4 wheeled Harley in a way. And certainly not to be left plane Jane. If you are going to wear your sheepskin flying jacket, string back gloves and Biggles leather helmet than you have to dress the car up too. And as for your comments on a row of Rosso Corsa Ferraris - have you no soul?

Non parlo Italiano  .. If it's not Connaught Green or Indigo Blue it doesn't exist in my world. All British sports cars are British Racing Green. It doesn't matter what colour you paint them.

Intresting topic, espically seeing as no 2 Morgans are the same, or at least shouldn't be. They are a bit like a taylored suit in that you can have whatever you want which is great. Makes for some hard choices but great fun.
I spent weeks looking at online pictures before i settled on my specs, tweeking it along the way . Didnt consider resale at all.
Personally i dont think metallics suit the trads and prefer painted or leather covered dash finish.
Mot'd an Austin Healey 3000 today in blue over white, that classic AH 3000 colour scheme. Got me thinking what a Morgan would look like 2 toned like that, never seen one. Maybe thats the answer.....

I cannot stand red cars!
Nothing looks more uninspiring than a row of Ferraris's in "resale" red with obligatory crema leather interior. So monotonous and beyond boring by "playing it safe must watch values"

Full width bumpers, wing lights, walnut dash, spots, wires, rack, badge bar, moto lita wheel, Le Mans fuel filler, bonnet strap, tonneau, fold down screen with aeros... Definitely no p/steer, automatic or air con nonsense and personally I'd keep the suspension as is. But then I'm old (school)
