The Guy who tweets as SpeedMonkey also writes reviews, this is the LINK to the report he wrote about the Plus 8 in March 2014. I'm not sure when he drove it, possibly earlier in the year. Note that at that point the car was unregistered, that happened in early April, and it has the old style wheel and no paddle shift. That work was done early in 2014. I bought the car at the end of October 2014. I blame Aeroman, because I'd gone up to see the SP1 Reveal and on a cold wet afternoon Mark Leddington persuaded me to take the Plus 8 out. The rest is, as they say, history.

The test drive in Tarka in March / April with Mark Leddington made me order one too. Did it have the paddle shift then? Just curious to know when they fitted it. The car was the prototype for the Speedster paddle shift! And for the record, it is a keeper... for now there is no better Morgan, but if there is a trad version of the rumoured hybrid then i might be persuaded to think about it.

It has survived countless pilots and 32,000 miles well, but there is wear on the side bolsters of the seat backs. Here is a recent photo  You can see the new style wheel, also the leather fill panels for the side screens. Here is the dash:  Note the Wolf Performance Bezels round the indicators. The paddle shift levers are just visible inside the steering wheel.

The test drive in Tarka in March / April with Mark Leddington made me order one too. for now there is no better Morgan, I must admit that after a test drive I was sorely tempted , and to some extent still am, but each time I think about it the deal breaker is the lack of luggage space (and in the background, the much higher running costs) compared to my trad +8.
