Alas all the brownie points were burned last week on the triple dealer day & I am in the states next week so it is chore time. So more like 20 yds.

Not today but last weekend......
Morgans at Windermere plus a couple of days in Whitby.
Windermere is an annual trip and we tag on a "diversion" to it.
The Lakes is a great area to tour in a mog. Crooklands Hotel as a base. Traffic to Ambleside from the South was horrific so detours were in order. No bad thing....
Weather held ok for top down.
Nice cross country run on the Monday to Whitby vis Kilburn to see the "Mouseman" furniture factory. A bit like a MMC factory tour but just viewing windows. swmbo was looking for a small item to buy until the £££££ were seen! Lovely furniture and accessories but ££££.
Whitby was great...Trenchers for fish and chips both nights, Robin Hoods Bay, Goathland for the "Heartbeat" experience. Hood up however due to a typical Yorkshire weather day( umbrella).
Long run home, crossing to N Wales then down the middle.
Just short of 1000 miles.
Crooklands pre-booked for next year on checkout.

An early evening drive yesterday once the weather had brightened for a while. I thought I had put the rain behind me, see below, but got caught on the return leg. I chose to define it as a pre-wash.

Trip to St Junien airshow today... surprise trip as we didnt know it was on. Got flagged down by a group of girls in Confolens so they could take pics of themselves with the car! Then waves from other classic car drivers and pedestrians alike... the French folk seem to like Morgans :-)

I attended an airshow yesterday. Perfect weather conditions, but the parking place was a freshly harvested potatoe field. Never ever had that much dust in the Mog before.

On the way to a potatoe field for parking!

Off to the German Autumn meeting (Herbstreffen) in Bavaria next Tuesday, another 1500+ mile round trip in the +8. Anyone else going?
