A good do in Leeds,202 riders but I was the only 3 wheeler so took up tail the end charlie post.

Very well organised and marshals waited at junctions and red lights to keep us all together.

I bumped into an old business acquaintance from 20 years ago riding his fathers Triumph Thunderbird which he bought new in 1950. Had a great chin wag, nice to catch up with him.

Did the Oxford crew go ahead with the pith helmets? Just wondering how they worked at speed!

Oh - and we need photos obviously!

Pith helmet worked well enough but won't be using it on any fast roads!

I was the solitary M3W taking part in the Cambridge DGR today. There were over 300 bikes present, plus 3 sidecars and 1 trike. The marshalls were pretty good at stopping traffic and keeping the ride together. I brought up the rear and carried the fire extinguisher, footpump and first aid kit in case anything untoward happened - but all went well.

We started on the outskirts at the Cambridge Science Park, then headed into town and did a circuit of the city centre. There was a stopover in the grounds of St Johns College, then another loop of the city before heading out of town via Grantchester to the Gog Magog hills. The ride ended at a farm shop with burgers, beer and music provided. All in all, very gentlemanly.

I seemed to spend about 2 hours creeping around the city at 5mph and barely ever got out of first gear. My poor clutch frown

I didn't take many pictures but I'll see if I can salvage any GoPro footage

Echoing everything the others have said, the Oxford ride was indeed excellent
drive and the trip to the distillery was also rather pleasant sunny
